About dry boxes
A dry box keeps dry filament dry. It is a sealed container with desiccant and usually a hygrometer, and many have a port so the printer can pull filament straight out.
Unlike a dryer, most dry boxes aren't heated: they stop moisture getting in rather than driving it out. Dry a damp spool first, then store it.
Prices are checked against our own price history, so a deal only counts when the price is genuinely lower than usual, not just lower than a list price.
Common questions
Is a dry box the same as a filament dryer?
No. A dry box is sealed storage that keeps moisture out; a dryer heats the filament to remove moisture it has already absorbed. Some heated dry boxes do both.
What humidity should filament be stored at?
Below about 20% relative humidity is a good target for most filaments, and lower for nylon and PVA. Recharge or replace the desiccant when the hygrometer creeps up.
