How to choose a 3D printer
Start with what you want to print. PLA and PETG print on almost anything; some materials need an enclosure, a hotter hotend or a hardened nozzle. The "Prints" filter checks each printer's specs against the material, the same way the filament guides do.
A multi-colour unit feeds several spools into one print. A combo listing includes it; otherwise check the printer works with one before you buy it separately.

Common questions
What does a combo printer include?
A combo comes with the printer's multi-colour unit (an AMS, CFS, ACE or similar), so it can print in several colours or swap materials without buying the unit separately. Use the "Multi-colour unit included" filter to see only those.
Do I need an enclosed printer?
Only for materials that warp and split in a draught: ABS, ABS-CF, ASA, Nylon and PC. PLA, PETG and TPU print well on an open-frame printer. Filter by what a printer prints to see which can.
Which printers can print carbon fibre filament?
PLA Glow, PLA-CF, PETG-CF and ABS-CF are abrasive and wear out brass and stainless nozzles, so choose a printer with a hardened nozzle as standard, or plan to fit one. The "Prints" filter only counts a printer that handles it as it comes.
How are the printer deals checked?
